Fittonia Albivenis
Scientific Name: Fittonia albivenis
Common Name: Nerve Plant, Mosaic Plant, Jewel Plant
Fittonias originally come from Northern tropical rainforests in South America and have been popular with enthusiasts of unique leaf variegations for some time. The Nerve Plant has delicate and detailed veining that is generally a contrasting color to the leaves of the plant itself. These plants grow in a bushy spreading pattern and in their natural habitat would be found as a creeping tropical ground cover (and LOVE being in terrariums).
These can be somewhat tricky houseplants to keep alive, but don't let that stop you from trying. Nerve Plants are the type that either love or hate their plant guardians, and you might be a lucky chosen one! They appreciate humidity but it's not a requirement (probably).
Basic Care: Well-draining soil and since they are a succulent, they will absorb water into their leaves to hold on to. Water when soil is completely dry. Nerve Plants enjoy medium to bright indirect light, but can tolerate low light as well.
***Due to the unique nature of plants, the one we carefully choose for you won't look exactly like the photos. but it will be just as beautiful!
