Olive Tree
Scientific Name: Olea europea
Common Name: Olive tree, olive bush
Olive trees are a fun indoor plant if you aren't in a warm enough climate to enjoy them outdoors! Our variety is the dwarf/bush version so you don't have to worry about it getting 20 feet tall. However, the dwarf variety can still get up to 6 feet if left to their own devices, so you might need a plan for pruning!
Basic Care:
Olive trees come from the Mediterranean, where it is regularly hot and dry so they don't need a lot of humidity to thrive. Most won't produce any fruit when grown indoors because they aren't getting the right temperature fluctuations they need in order to do so.
They do love a lot of direct sunlight, but be careful to keep leaves from touching the window glass as the leaves can burn. They need well draining soil and water when the top inch or two of soil is dry.
***Due to the unique nature of plants, the one we carefully choose for you won't look exactly like the photos. but it will be just as beautiful!
