Aloe, Solar Flare
Scientific Name: Aloe ‘Solar Flare’ PP (Aloe humilis hybrid)
Common Name: Solar Flare Aloe
Aloe plants are a very popular choice for indoor plant collectors, as they are very low-maintenance and easy to take care of. In their native environment, they live in extremely dry, arid, desert conditions, but they adapt well to indoor life.
The Solar Flare Aloe plant grows from a central rosette, with long, thin green leaves. This aloe variety is known for its fun "sunburst" of white variegation from the center of the plant and shooting outward toward the tips of the leaves.
Basic Care: Water infrequently - overwatering is a common problem for all succulents. Use very well-draining soil, such as a cactus mix or something similar. Aloe plants love lots of bright sunlight and can handle direct sunlight but they can tolerate indirect bright light indoors as well.
Watering test: Gently squeeze the leaves. If they're firm, they don't need water, but if they feel softer or look a little wrinkly, give your succulent a drink!
