Scientific Name: Begonia, "rhizomatous hybrid"
Common Name: Begonia, Martha Stewart
Begonias are beloved houseplants, primarily famous for their incredibly unique foliage variations and variegations, from polka dots to fuzzy (or spiky!) leaves. Begonias tend to be slightly high-maintenance, and are generally considered to be a little more advanced of a houseplant, but don't let that stop you from trying!
With deeply spiraled leaves of bright tan, orange, and chartreuse, this begonia variety will add a bright pop of color to any space! During the summertime, leaves will adorn a deep orange-tan hue and bloom with small pink blossoms as winter begins. This hybrid grows in strong mounds - it's a good thing! Our stock is currently in 4" pots.
Basic Needs: Bright, indirect light. Does not like to be soaking wet, but also cannot handle being dry for extended periods of time. We recommend small, but frequent waterings. PRO TIP: to grow a more evenly bushy begonia, rotate your pot every week so a different side is exposed to light-- this will encourage more even growth from all sides!
***Due to the unique nature of plants, the one we carefully choose for you won't look exactly like the photos. but it will be just as beautiful!
