Hoya, Wayetii
Scientific Name: Hoya, Wayetii
Common Name: Wayetii Hoya, Wax Plant
Hoyas are well-loved by many plant collectors around the world. They originate from many Asian countries and some variations hail from Australia. They are climbing/vining plants and in nature are often found living their best life on trees. Hoyas generally have thick, succulent leaves and mature plants can have vines that can be well over 10 feet long.
The Wayetii Hoya has long, thin dark green leaves with light green variegations the start in the center of the leaves and are unique from leaf to leaf. Mature plants will also produce tiny flowers in little bunches.
Basic Care: Hoyas need very well-draining soil and since they are a succulent, they will absorb water into their leaves to hold on to. Water when soil is completely dry. Hoyas love bright light, but can tolerate low light as well. They also prefer humidity but can tolerate lower humidity environments.
